Temporary Relief at Home

Here are a few tips to stay comfortable until you can get in to see us:

  • Use orthodontic wax to cover poking wires or rough edges

  • Clip a protruding wire with sanitized nail clippers if needed

  • Rinse with warm salt water to soothe irritated areas

  • Take over-the-counter pain relievers if necessary (per instructions)

  • Save any broken pieces and bring them with you to your appointment
